The Department of State Service (DSS) has begun sending out invitations to shortlisted applicants for the 2025 DSS recruitment exercise. Candidates across different states are now receiving official SMS notifications containing details of their screening and examination schedules. This marks the next stage of the recruitment process, where applicants will undergo both credentials verification and a nationwide aptitude test.
For many states, the process will begin with physical screening of documents, after which qualified candidates will be invited to sit for the written examination. If you applied for the ongoing DSS recruitment, it is important to stay informed about the exam date, time and venue in your state.
DSS Exam Date 2025
The nationwide DSS recruitment exam will take place on Saturday, 6th September 2025, across all states of the federation. Only applicants who receive an official invitation via SMS or email will be allowed to participate.
Important Notice: Do not attend the venue without your official invitation, as entry will be strictly monitored.

- Ekiti State: All Souls Secondary School, along New Iyin Road
- Ondo State: 2,500 Capacity Hall, Obanla, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA)
Other states will also communicate their designated venues through the official DSS command.
Candidates are advised to arrive early at their designated venues with all required documents.
