The Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has officially released the list of shortlisted candidates for the 2025 recruitment exercise. This shortlist contains the names of successful applicants selected to take part in the next stage, the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
According to SUBEB, a total of 1,156 applicants applied for the 27 Local Government Education Secretary positions across the state, but only 274 qualified candidates have been shortlisted for the CBT exam.
This recruitment aims to appoint competent education secretaries capable of improving the standard of basic education across the 27 local government areas of Jigawa State.

Follow the steps below to confirm if your name is among the successful candidates for the CBT exam:
1. Visit the official Jigawa SUBEB recruitment portal via www.esrecuitment.subebjigawa.org.ng
2. On the homepage, click “Check Shortlisted Candidates”
3. Select your Local Government Area (LGA)
4. Download the shortlisted candidates PDF list
5. Search your name or application number in the downloaded file
If your name appears, congratulations, you are eligible for the next stage of the selection process.
Jigawa SUBEB CBT Exam Date and Venue 2025
The Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the Jigawa SUBEB recruitment will be held at the Federal University, Dutse.
All shortlisted candidates are required to appear at the exam venue with the following items:
- Printed acknowledgment slip
- Valid means of identification (NIN, voter’s card, or driver’s license)
- Writing materials
The exact CBT date and time will be communicated to each shortlisted candidate through email and SMS notification.
Next Stage After the Jigawa SUBEB CBT Exam
After the CBT exam, successful applicants will move to the oral interview and documentation stage. This stage will focus on verifying credentials and assessing candidates’ communication and administrative skills.
The final list of appointed Local Government Education Secretaries will be published on the official SUBEB website and through local government education offices across the state.
