Launched in partnership with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), this national initiative aims to empower 10 million Nigerian artisans through training, tools, licensing and exposure to job opportunities.
Whether you are a welder, plumber, tiler, shoemaker or an aspiring tradesperson, this opportunity is for you.
What Is the FG Skill-Up Artisans Program?
The Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA) is a federal initiative developed to:
- Improve the quality and competitiveness of Nigerian artisans
- Provide vocational training through approved centers
- Issue trade certifications and licenses
- Boost income and self-reliance through business skills and tools
SUPA is scheduled to run for two years and is grouped into three major categories:
1. Artisans – Already skilled workers seeking formal certification and business upgrades
2. Intending Artisans – Individuals ready to learn a new trade or skill
3. Training Providers – Approved centers ready to train artisans under the program
Everything is 100% free – no hidden charges.
Who Should Apply?
You are eligible if you fall under any of these:
- A skilled artisan needing certification
- A Nigerian youth or adult ready to learn a vocational trade
- A training center with the capacity to train artisans in specific skills
- You are committed to completing the training and improving your trade
How to Apply for FG SUPA Program 2025
Follow these steps to register online:
1. Visit the official SUPA portal: https://supa.itf.gov.ng/start-registration
2. Choose your category – Artisan, Intending Artisan or Training Center
3. Click on “Create Account” to begin
4. Fill in your personal and trade details accurately
5. Submit your application and await further instruction
Note: Do not submit multiple applications. One entry per person is allowed. This registration is completely free, so avoid anyone asking for payment.
For Returning Applicants
If you have registered for SUPA in the past: Visit https://supa.itf.gov.ng and log in to update your information.
Failure to update your record may result in disqualification during screening or training selection.
Screening & Training for SUPA 2025 – What to Expect
The next phase of screening and training will happen across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and all senatorial districts.
Date and venue for the second batch will be announced soon on the official portal and by ITF.
Those selected will:
- Receive free training at accredited centers
- Be certified at the end of the program
- Get connected to job opportunities and tool support
