The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) regularly publishes data on candidates performances following the official release of the UTME results. One of the key highlights is the announcement of the top JAMB scorers for each examination year.
The JAMB score is based on the number of correct answers a candidate provides across all their examination subjects. The highest score achievable in any given year represents the ultimate academic achievement in that examination cycle.
For the 2024 UTME, a total of 77,070 candidates, representing 4.2% of all applicants, scored 250 and above, while 439,974 candidates, or 24%, scored 200 and above.
