The National Examination Council (NECO) has officially announced the application dates for the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) 2025/2026. This exam is for candidates seeking admission into JSS 1 of Federal Unity Colleges across Nigeria.

When Will NCEE 2025 Registration Start?
The National Examination Council (NECO) has announced the commencement of NCEE 2025 registration. The online portal will be open from Monday, 11th November 2025 and the deadline for registration is Saturday, 24th May 2025. It is advisable to complete the registration process before the closing date to avoid last-minute issues.
NCEE 2025 Registration Fee
The cost to register for the NCEE 2025 is N4,750.00 (Four Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Naira) per candidate. There is an additional fee of N2,500 for any corrections to the candidate’s name.
Who Can Apply for NCEE 2025?
To be eligible for the NCEE 2025, candidates must be final-year students in primary schools across Nigeria and must be at least 10 years old by the end of September 2025.
Steps to Register for NCEE 2025
Parents, guardians, and headteachers can follow these steps to register candidates for NCEE 2025:
- Visit the official NECO Registration Portal: neco.gov.ng/ncee.
- Create an Account: Register by providing a valid phone number and email address.
- Activate Your Account: Check your email for an activation link and complete the registration process.
- Make Payment: Pay the registration fee using one of the following methods:
- Debit/Credit Card
- Bank Branch
- USSD Code
- Internet Banking
- eNAIRA
- Payment Wallet
- Complete Candidate Information: Fill in the bio-data form for the candidate and upload a passport-sized photograph.
- Print the Photo Card: After successful registration, print the photo card for future reference.
Candidates are required to select three Federal Unity Colleges, one from each of the following geopolitical zones: North East, North Central, and North West, or any combination of zones.

Important Notes:
- Payment Process: All payments must be made on the NECO portal using the available methods listed above.
- No Changes After Registration: Once a candidate is registered, changes to their examination centre, name, or passport photo will not be accepted.
- Oversubscription and Alternative Placement: Candidates who select an oversubscribed school may be assigned to an alternative school depending on the capacity of the Federal Unity Colleges.
