Is the NDLEA Shortlist 2024 Out?
Yes, the NDLEA has announced the shortlisted candidates for the next stage of recruitment, which is the screening process.
Important Information About the NDLEA Shortlisted List:
- The shortlisted candidates are those who successfully passed the initial online application stage.
- This list is not the final recruitment list, successful candidates will move forward with additional assessments, including a physical screening and credentials check.
- After the screening, candidates will take a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and undergo medical exams.
- Those who pass all stages will receive their appointment letters to begin training as full-time staff at NDLEA.
How to Check the NDLEA Shortlisted Candidates 2024 PDF List
To verify whether you have been shortlisted for the next recruitment phase:
- Check Your Email: NDLEA will notify successful candidates through email, which will contain important details about the shortlist and further instructions.
- Visit the Official NDLEA Website:
- Go to www.ndlea.gov.ng
- Find the “Shortlisted Candidates” section.
- Click on the “Download Shortlist” option to access the PDF and check if your name appears.

Note: If your name is not on the current list, you are encouraged to check back regularly for the release of additional batches, including the supplementary list.
What to Do After Confirming Your Name on the Shortlist
Once you have confirmed that your name is on the list, prepare for the next steps:
- Training Locations:
- Superintendent Cadre (Narcotic Officers): Report to NDLEA Academy, Kotton Rikus, Jos (Plateau State) on your assigned date.
- Narcotic Assistant (NA & NASS): Report to the NSCDC College of Peace and Disaster Management in Katsina.
- Required Documents and Items for Training:
- Original and photocopy of credentials and NDLEA application reference slip.
- Four color passport-size photographs.
- Writing materials like pens, pencils, notebooks, and file jackets.
- Two pairs of black canvas trainers (rubber type is not acceptable).
- White round-neck vests, navy blue shorts, socks and more.
- Important Notes:
- Successful candidates must report by the specified dates—failure to do so will result in disqualification.
- Pregnant female candidates will not be allowed to join the training.
- Drug integrity and pregnancy tests will be conducted during training and candidates who test positive will be withdrawn.
