The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially released the list of shortlisted candidates for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025 recruitment exercise.
All applicants who successfully applied can now check their names, download the PDF list and confirm their aptitude test date, time and centre via the NAF recruitment portal below.
NAF DSSC 34/2025 Aptitude Test Date
The Nigerian Air Force DSSC 34/2025 aptitude test is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 25 October 2025, by 7:00 am across various designated centres nationwide.
The approved test centres include:

- Ipetu
- Jos
- Kaduna
- Kano
- Makurdi
- Port Harcourt
- Yola
Important: All shortlisted candidates are expected to arrive early at their respective venues to avoid disqualification.

Candidates must come along with the following items:
- Original NAF Application Acknowledgment Slip
- Two (2) passport photographs duly signed by the applicant

NAF DSSC 34/2025 Enlistment Interview Date
Successful candidates are invited to participate in the DSSC 34 Selection Interview, which will hold at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Kaduna.
Interview Schedule:
- Batch A: Monday 12th – Saturday 18th January 2026
- Candidates from Benue, Cross River, Ebonyi, Jigawa, Kano, Kwara, Ondo, Plateau, Taraba
- Batch B: Monday 19th – Saturday 25th January 2026
- Candidates from Bauchi, Borno, Delta, Edo, Enugu, Katsina, Kogi, Niger, Osun
- Batch C: Monday 26th January – Saturday 1st February 2026

Important: Candidates must report according to their assigned batch. Reporting on the wrong date or failing to show up may result in disqualification.
Requirements for NAF DSSC 34/2025 Interview
All shortlisted candidates must report with the following:
- Originals and photocopies of credentials
- Acknowledgment slip
- Parent/guardian consent form
- Local Government Area attestation form
- Letter of attestation of good character
- Two white vests and two blue PT shorts
- One pair of canvas shoes
- Four passport photographs
- Bedsheet and blanket
- Mosquito net

NAF DSSC 34/2025 Training Date
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has formally announced the DSSC 34/2025 list of candidates who were successful for training. This was preceded by the Selection Board Interview, which took place at NAF Base Kaduna between January 12th and February 8th, 2026.
All successful candidates are expected to report to the Nigerian Defence Academy, Afaka, Kaduna, on the approved date with all required documents and personal effects. The Nigerian Air Force further indicated that all candidates must ensure they report at most by 6:00 pm on Monday, 20 April 2026. If any candidate fails to report before the stipulated time, they automatically forfeit the offer and lose their slot.

Required Credentials for Documentation
Successful candidates must also present the original and photocopies of all necessary documents to be processed and admitted to the Academy.
Documents that are required include:
- First School Leaving Certificate
- NECO, WAEC or NABTEB result
- Academic degree or certificate of HND
- Birth Certificate or Declaration of age.
- Nigerian Air Force Applicants Acknowledgement Slip.
- Signed Consent of Parent or Guardian.
- Local Government Area Indigeneship certificate.
For serving military personnel, the Air Force added that they must also present release letters and official passes from their commanders.
Items Candidates Must Bring for Training
To ensure candidates’ holistically prepared for the six-month cadet training, the Nigerian air force has released a list of compulsory items to be brought to the NDA.
These are:
- Three pairs of blue shorts
- White round neck vests
- Two pairs of oversized white canvas shoes.
- White shorts (two pairs)
- 4 pairs of white socks
- Black polish and brushes for shoes
- Shaving kit and toiletry items
- Two bed sheets (white in colour)
- Pillow cases for 8 spring bed
- Pyjamas
- Black swimming trunk or shirt
- Black and white trousers (two pairs).
- Two white long sleeves shirts
- One dark coloured lounge suit
- Two belts (preferably black).
- One pair of black cover shoes for males candidates.
- A black rubber strapped digital quartz wristwatch.
- Pressing Iron
- Six photographs of passports
Additional Requirements for Female Candidates
Female candidates are expected to come with the general items listed above as well as the following additional items:
- One pair of black low-heeled cover shoes.
- Four dark-coloured lounge skirts
- Four pairs of black or blue shorts/tights.
- Two pairs of trousers suits
During the entire training period, these items are among the standard requirements for the female cadets.
Important Rules During Training
The Nigerian Air Force also came up with important rules that will govern the training exercise at the Academy.
From the first day of training, candidates will not be allowed to receive any visitors. Also, during the first three months of the programme, trainees are not allowed to leave the Academy.
This restriction is part of the disciplined environment that is expected with military training and is meant to help the cadets fully focus on the programme.
Another important point raised by the NAF is that the successful candidates can not be considered personnel of the Air force at this phase.
Candidates will only become recognized personnel of the Nigerian Air Force after they have successfully completed the training and are formally commissioned as officers.
This means that anyone who withdraws, is dismissed, or otherwise fails to complete the programme before commissioning shall not be entitled to any benefits, rights, or compensation from either the Nigerian Air Force or the Federal Government of Nigeria. When it comes to serving personnel, relevant provisions of HTACOS shall hold.
