The National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) results for 2025/2026 academic session have been released. If you sat for the exam and are hoping for admission into JSS1 at one of the Federal Unity Colleges, this guide will show you how to check your results via the NECO result checker portal.

The Minister of State for Education announced that a total of 71,291 candidates registered for the exam, out of which 66,931 participated, and 4,360 were absent. The highest score achieved was 203, while the lowest was 1 out of the maximum possible score of 210.

How to Check NCEE 2025 Results

Step 1:

  1. Visit the official Unity Schools result checker at https://result.neco.gov.ng/
  2. Choose the exam year as “2025”
  3. Select the exam type as “National Common Entrance Examination”
  4. Enter your unique registration number
  5. Click on the “Check Result” button to view your result

Step 2: Alternatively, you can check your result at http://fmeposting.com.ng/#posting

  • Enter your exam number and year (2024)
  • The portal will display your admission status

Once you check your result, the following statuses may appear:

  • Qualified for National Merit Selection
  • Qualified for State Quota Selection
  • Not Qualified for Selection

What to Do After Checking Your NCEE Result

  • Print your 2025 NCEE Admission Slip and visit your chosen Federal Unity School to complete the documentation process.
  • Candidates who receive provisional admission must confirm their offer within two weeks of the result release. Failure to do so may lead to forfeiting their spot.
  • Candidates marked with “Admission Pending” should continue checking, as they will be included in subsequent batches.
  • Official admission letters will only be issued once all admission formalities are completed at the school.

The Federal Government has set specific criteria for admission into Unity Schools. The general criteria include:

  • 60% National Merit
  • 30% State Quota
  • 10% Other Factors

Candidates applying for schools outside their home state will be prioritized in the selection process.
