Is Fire Service Recruitment Form Out for 2024?
YES! The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for full time appointment to fill existing vacancies in the following category positions in the Federal Fire Service (FFS):
CATEGORY A: INSPECTORATE CADRE
I) Inspector of Fire (IF) CONPASS 07:
Applicants must be registered Nurses (RN), Registered Midwives (RM) Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNIM) obtained from recognized institutions.
II) Assistant Inspector of Fire (AIF) CONPASS 06:
Applicants must be holders of NCE or National Diploma (ND) in any related field, obtained from any recognized Polytechnic Institution.
CATEGORY B: ASSISTANT CADRE
I) Fire Assistant II (FA II) CONPASS 04:
Applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO or other equivalents with a maximum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings, which should include English and Mathematics.
II) Fire Assistant III (FA III) Appliance Driver (Specialist) CONPASS 03:
Applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO or their equivalents with a minimum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings which should include at least English and Mathematics. Applicants with Class E Drivers’ License s an added advantage.
Fire Service Recruitment Requirements
All applicants are expected to read the general requirements set by Federal Fire Service for the 2024 recruitment. See the FFS application requirements below:
- Applicants must be Nigerians by birth
- Applicants must possess the requisite qualifications. Any certificate or qualification not presented and accepted at the recruitment center shall not be accepted after the recruitment.
- Applicants must be fit and present Certificate of Medical Fitness from any recognized Government Hospital iv. Applicants must be of good character and must not have Been convicted of any criminal offence. v Applicants must not be member of secret society, cult or drug addict etc.
- Applicants must not have been involved in any financial embarrassment.
- Applicants must be between the ages 18 and 35 years.
- Applicants’ height must not be less than 1.65m for male and 1.60m for females.
- Applicant’s chest measurement must not be less than 0.87 for men.
- Computer literacy will be an added advantage.

https://fedfire.gov.ng is the website to apply for FFS 2024/2025 recruitment. Candidates will register on the portal before submitting their application. Remember to note the Fire Service recruitment portal you are applying for to avoid submitting your application to the wrong website.
How to Apply for Fire Service Recruitment 2024
To successfully apply for FFS recruitment, have a valid email address and National Identification Number (NIN) since you are going to verify your registration with a link sent to your email.
Visit the recruitment portal on https:/cdcfib.career and create an account if you are a new applicant.
If you already have an account, simply use the username and password, login and fill the application form and “Submit” the Online Form. (Review the information before final submission).
Ensure that you print out the information that is sent automatically to your Email for future correspondences.
Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2024 Closing Date
Kindly note that the deadline of FFS recruitment 2024 applications should be submitted online within six (6) weeks from the date of this publication. Late submission of application after the set date will not be accepted.
After the online application, Federal Fire Service recruitment shortlisted candidates will be uploaded on the portal https://fedfire.gov.ng. But take note only qualified candidates will be selected for the next stage of the exercise which is the aptitude test.
