The JAMB Matriculation List is a list of students who have been duly admitted into tertiary institutions in Nigeria and have been approved by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for matriculation.
According to JAMB, Anyone whose name is not on the list has not been offered admission in his/her University i.e. he/she is not a Nigerian Student. And anyone who goes ahead to attend school will not graduate.
The matriculation list serves as a confirmation that the student has been duly admitted and has fulfilled all the requirements for admission into the institution.
The matriculation list is important because it serves as a prerequisite for NYSC mobilization. Only students whose names appear on the matriculation list are eligible for NYSC mobilization.
Therefore, it is important for students to ensure that their names are on the list.
How to Check Your Name on JAMB Matriculation list 2024
To check if your name is on the JAMB Matriculation List, follow the steps below:
1) Visit https://jamb.org.ng/efacility/CheckMatriculationList on JAMB Portal
2) Select examination year and input your JAMB registration number
3) Click on “fetch my details”
4) Once that is done, it will show whether your name is in JAMB matriculation list including your institution name and course.
To qualify to be on the JAMB Matriculation List, you must have fulfilled the following requirements:
- Admission into a recognized institution: You must have been offered admission into a recognized tertiary institution in Nigeria, such as a university, polytechnic or college of education.
- Acceptance of admission: After being offered admission, you must have accepted the admission offer by the institution by printing your admission letter and paying the acceptance fee.
- Validation of admission: Your admission must have been validated by JAMB through its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). This means that your admission must have been approved by JAMB and uploaded onto the JAMB portal.
- Matriculation ceremony: You must have participated in the matriculation ceremony organized by your institution. The matriculation ceremony is an official event where you are formally welcomed into the institution as a student.
Once you have fulfilled these requirements, your name will be automatically uploaded to the JAMB Matriculation List by your institution.
